In Right or Wrong, the very notion of what is right and what is wrong is radically called into question: along this train of thought, the concept of interference between different levels of material gradually transforms into a creative gesture, a necessary shift, a contrast, amplified to the point of becoming a sensory experience that redefines the appearance of things.

Through diverse forms of expression, Ilaria Gasparroni, Maurizio Savini and Simoncini.Tangi explore seemingly irreconcilable combinations – colours that repel one another, materials that, thanks to fantastical forays, coexist with one another, or entities that defy conventional taste – to give rise to a fertile tension, a crossroads, an interlocking of distant circumstances, a hybridism whose internal connections seem to recall Warburg’s concept of Grenzerweiterungen (expansion of boundaries).

As they unfold across the gallery’s spaces, the works of the three artists on display present a cosmos where contrast is never a defect but is a language, a semantic continuum defined by kinship, by sets that form networks, by combinations that are also conflicts (reinventions), constructing meanings in motion, parallels between past and present, the gentle, restless rustling of the pre-packaged and whimsical combinations that set the imagination alight, so much so as to create exquisite fractures, apparitions, recognitions or even elegant pauses, yet within a deviation (in a vertiginous whirl) that is also a possibility.

Right or Wrong

Ilaria Gasparroni, Maurizio Savini, Simoncini.Tangi

Kyro Art Gallery

Via Padre Eugenio Barsanti 29 55,045 Pietrasanta (LU) kyroartgallery.com tel. +39 334 114 7775 @ | info@kyroartgallery.com

Ilaria Gasparroni | Maurizio Savini | Simoncini.Tangi RIGHT or WRONG Duration | 29 May –
